FLM Creations
Crafted With Skill and Passion
Art is defined as the expression or application of human creative skills and imagination through vision. FLM Creations has always been in the mind and vision of the owner Frank Murphy. He now has brought his creations to you the consumer. Growing up in the hills of West Virginia he learned at a young age to not look at something for what it is, but what it can be. FLM Creation offers you a chance to purchase one of a kind items that can not be duplicated. Every product is designed and hand made by Frank Murphy himself. His goal is for you to buy a unique product that you will cherish and pass down from one generation to the next.
From The Process
Pricing Information
I am often asked how I price my work. So this is a brief statement of how I come up with my prices, and a little about my work. There is nothing cookie cutter about my work. Every piece from the smallest to the largest is designed and built by me. Using the tools god gave me I build every piece by hand and make every item unique and individual. Even though I might not be physically working on the piece at that moment. In my mind as long as it is on my bench it is my primary focus and my thoughts are about how to construct this piece.
The process is always to be designing and redesigning that piece. I spend many hours working through the process even before I ever touch any material. Many times even after starting the physical work I may change my direction and go another way. You will never walk in your neighbor's house and see that same piece. My work is all one of a kind and can not be duplicated
Now to pricing, I charge $20.00 an hour. Consumers have no problem paying mechanics or contractors $40 or $60 dollars an hour for work to be done, so I feel asking $20 an hour to have a one-of-a-kind piece of art is reasonable. My work is designed to last more than a lifetime, it will be something you pass down to future generations. Most of my larger pieces can take more than a week and at times over a month so my prices are reflected accordingly!
